This co-created community creative booklet was made with the wellbeing and mental health of the local community in mind. Created in collaboration with the Beswick Chatty Crafters and funded by the Royal Exchange Theatre, the booklet celebrates creativity, connection and the positive impact that art can have on our lives.
The beautifully printed booklet was shared through local food banks, libraries, community centres and schools, offering people an opportunity to enjoy simple creative activities and discover the joy of making.
At its heart, the booklet captures the experiences of the Beswick Chatty Crafters — a small, welcoming community who came together to explore different art practices, discover the kinds of creativity they enjoy, and reflect on what art has brought into their lives.
It is a celebration of creativity as a way of connecting with others, supporting wellbeing, sharing experiences and building a sense of community.
