Arts Pot Project at the Royal Exchange
I had the joy of creating a creatively welcoming space at the Royal Exchange to celebrate the wonderful work of the Arts Pot Project.
The Arts Pot Project creates opportunities for people to engage with the arts who may experience barriers to accessing creative activities. It is about making space for everyone to take part, be creative and have their work seen and celebrated.
For this celebration, we exhibited artwork created by my wonderful groups, Beswick Chatty Craft and Dukinfield Craft Café, alongside an amazing celebration of community arts work.
It was a joy to bring these different groups and pieces of artwork together in such a special setting. The exhibition celebrated not only the finished artwork, but also the people, creativity, conversations and connections behind each piece.
Creating an inclusive and welcoming creative space is something I feel incredibly passionate about, and it was wonderful to see the work of the groups celebrated at the Royal Exchange.
